Recovery Month Learn More
Family members who accept that addiction is a disease are better able
to let go of the inevitable anger, shame and blame that comes with the territory.
Their loved one is not doing it "to" them, but rather the nature of this brain disease makes it impossible for them not to break promises, lie, cheat, steal and hurt those whom they love the most, UNTIL they stop their drug or alcohol use and effectively treat their disease.

Become A trained Peer support
More than 100 million Americans--
roughly one third of the population--are shattered by a loved one's addiction.
Children. Parents. Siblings. Grandparents. Spouses. Aunts. Uncles.
In-laws. Significant-others.
By providing peer support and harnessing the enormous power of these families, Change Addiction Now (C.A.N.) aims to change the way addiction is treated, perceived, legislated, and champion 21st Century research in the studies of brain, addiction, and the impact it all has on families.
