Where Does Your Money Go?
"Alcoholism and drug addiction affects the whole family--young, teenage, or grown-up children; wives or husbands; brothers or sisters; parents or other relatives and friends. One family member addicted to alcohol and drugs means the whole family suffers. " SOURCE: National Council on Alcohol and Drug Dependence.

$500 billion is spent annually by local, state and the federal government, with only 2 cents of each dollar going towards prevention and treatment of Substance Use Disorder, which leaves the family system under-supported and under-served.
The day-to-day task of grappling with the complex issues, and insurmountable challenges of Substance Use Disorder is overwhelming. The rollercoaster of emotions, lack of affordable, and available evidenced-based care, and financial fallout, cause feelings of anxiety, trauma, defeat and despair throughout the entire family system.
It is common for each family member to experience different levels of isolation, depression and sadness. Addiction destroys precious lives, shatters dreams, and harms everyone.
Addiction is a family disease.
